Mini Home Gym Ideas
1. A Cute Yoga Studio
Looking to transform your small space into a cute yoga studio? Then this idea is for you! Add an exercise mat and a cute plant to the mix to bring nature and serenity to your space! Of course, you gotta add a cute storage basket to add all your foam rollers, yoga mats and yoga blocks! Of course, you can add whatever fits your fitness aesthetic such as a stationary bike, treadmill, or extra dumbbells!
2. Weightlifting Room
If your a weightlifting/crossfit, consider this your inspiration! Make sure your ceilings are high enough for a squat rack! Add a bench, exercise ball, cardio equipment, a dumbbell tree etc! You can even add a cute mini fridge pictured here with extra cold water, electrolytes or energy drinks!
3. A Cardio Studio
Are you a cardio feen? A marathon runner or cycling type person? Consider this the room for you! Especially in the winter months where it’s particularly hard to get out on the trails, make this the gym room you need for those days! Add a gym mat to the mix with a treadmill or cycling bike. Add a shelving unit with your gym shoes, extra towels, resistance bands or other gym accessories. Lastly, decorate your walls with inspirational quotes or wall art.
4. Larger Space
Are you blessed with a larger space and looking to make this space your own little gym room? Whatever your gym needs are, you can transform this space into whatever you’d like! Love to run? Add a treadmill. Cycle? Add a stationary bike. If you love the cable machine, you can incorporate that into your space! Do you love to squat, bench press, deadlift? Make room for a barbell rack.
It’s also important to keep things neat and tidy! Make sure your gym accessories are nicely organized such as your resistance bands, foam rollers, yoga mats, or dumbbells!
5. Simple And Clean
Looking to keep things simple, clean, and classic? Sometimes you just need some dumbbells, a cardio machine, a big mirror and you are good to go!
If you have carpet, make sure you invest in a good gym mat! Also, it might be a great idea to add a mirror to make sure your form is great. A dumbbell tree is probably the best option here as it keeps your dumbbells nice and organized! A TV is definitely not essential but can be nice to have especially if you are on the treadmill, bike or elliptical!
6. No Space? No Problem!
Sometimes we gotta get creative here especially with a small space such as an apartment! Why not add your gym equipment to your living room? Yes, space is going to be limited so I would recommend choosing one or two large pieces of gym equipment such as a rack or any piece of cardio equipment! Then you can also place your other extra gym equipment in storage space or another room to prevent clutter!
7. Odd Shaped Space
Do you have an extra space or room that is just weirdly shaped and you don’t know what will fit? Luckily, this is for you! It might be a bit challenging to add a squat rack especially if your ceilings are low, but consider getting creative with other gym equipment such as a bench, exercise balls, TRX straps, or resistance bands! Hang these items on the wall to prevent clutter on the floor!
Those are your mini home gym ideas that you need to try out! Creating a home gym does not need to be stressful! Sometimes you gotta get creative with the space you have and go from there. Have fun with it and good luck!
